Dot Dash
A pocket messaging device for kids. They tap out messages in Morse code or send quick phrases, only to the people their parent has approved.
How it works
A device made for kidsA small screen, two buttons and a buzzer. No camera, no microphone, no web browser and no location tracking.
Set up by a parentA parent pairs the device in the Dot Dash app, chooses who their child can message, and can see those messages.
Learning while playingMorse practice, games, timers and points turn messaging into a skill kids build over time.
SMS messaging with family (optional)
A parent can let a trusted adult, like a grandparent, exchange messages between their mobile phone and the child's Dot Dash. This is optional. Nobody has to receive SMS messages to use Dot Dash.
- How to join: once a parent has added your number in the Dot Dash app, send
STARTto (866) 786-1245. We never message a number that hasn't sent START. See the full opt-in flow. - You'll get one confirmation. After that, messages arrive only when the child sends one, labeled like Maya via Dot Dash: SEE YOU SUNDAY.
